We began in 1984 as a warehouse and Distribution Company to service the needs of the local hosiery manufactures. From humble beginning shipments of 20,000 lbs. per week, we adapted and grew with the industry to shipments of 750,000 lbs. per week. As our customers needs have changed, we have been there with them. Expanding, growing, and ever evolving into a modern warehouse and distribution service that does whatever it takes to make our customers successful. As the world market has changed, many of the local manufacture’s needs have changed to a more global strategy. This allows us to once again adapt and grow with the needs of our customers. In 1984, Donna Powell a graduate of the University of Alabama degreed in marketing and business, created Yarns, etc. as a service to the growing needs of 200 local hosiery manufacturers in the Fort Payne / DeKalb County Alabama area. Donna has 23 years experience in customer service and warehouse operations.

Warehouse manager Lonnie McKelvey has 24 years of extensive management experience. Lonnie has extensive experience in the retail industry coupled with over 15 years of warehouse management. He is involved in all aspects of warehouse operations and distribution. Lonnie is also very knowledgeable in customer service and office management.
